# Enable and set-up White Label feature - GoDaddy / Namecheap / Shopify/ Cloudflare/ Squarespace

The article describes how you can set up your custom vendor portal domain once you have enabled (upgraded) to add the White-label add-on.

### Activate white-label in PuppetVendors

1. Go to **Settings** then **White-label** followed by **Branding and Domain**.  Enter your desired custom domain in the format of **__your-website.com__**. This will be the new domain where your vendors will be able to access their portal and view sales and manage their products.

2. Click the **Verify Domain **button.  This message will appear if successful.

3. Tick the box next to the **Completed Domain Setup?** link before hitting the **Save** button.
4. You are now correctly set-up in Puppet Vendors.
5. The next step will be to set-up a CNAME with your domain provider. Common domain providers are **GoDaddy**, **Shopify**, and **Namecheap** and below are how-to guides on how to set them up.

### How to set-up a PuppetVendors portal CNAME on GoDaddy

1. Sign in to your [GoDaddy admin](https://dcc.godaddy.com/control/portfolio).
2. Select an individual domain to access the **Domain Settings** page.

3. Select **DNS** to view your DNS records.

4. Click on the **Add New Record** button and then select **CNAME** from the Type menu

5. Enter Name: **__portal__** and Value: **__portal.puppetvendors.com__** exactly as is and then save it. Please do not enter **portal.your-website.com**.

6. Your vendors will now be able to access your white-label domain URL within 24 hours if the set-up was successful.

### How to set-up a PuppetVendors portal CNAME on Namecheap

1. Sign into your [Namecheap account](https://www.namecheap.com/myaccount/login/)
2. Select **Domain List** from the left side menu and (3) click the **Manage button** next to your Shopify domain

3. Navigate to the **Advanced DNS tab** and (5) click the **Add New Record** button in the Host Records section

4. Select **CNAME Record** from the drop-down menu for Type, enter Host: **__portal__** and Value: **__portal.puppetvendors.com__** exactly as is and then save it.  Please do not enter **portal.your-website.com**.

5. Your vendors will now be able to access your white-label domain URL within 24 hours if the set-up was successful.

### How to set-up a PuppetVendors portal CNAME on Shopify

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Settings > Domains**.
2. Click the domain that you want to configure.

||| Make sure to only select a primary domain if you see your domain name (panthercommerce.com) on the list and not if you see "domain.myshopify.com".

3. Click Domain settings > **Edit DNS** settings.
4. Click **Add custom record**, and then select the record type that you want to add.

5. Enter Name: **portal** and Points to: **portal.puppetvendors.com** exactly as is, and then click Confirm.  Please do not enter **portal.your-website.com**.

6. Your vendors will now be able to access your white-label domain URL within 24 hours if the set-up was successful.

### If you are using Cloudflare, please turn off the proxy.

### How to set-up a PuppetVendors portal CNAME on Squarespace

1. **Log into Squarespace:** Open Squarespace and go to your **Domains dashboard**.

2. **Select your domain:** Click on the specific domain name for which you need to update or add the CNAME record.

3. **Open DNS settings:** Click on **DNS** on the left menu, then select **DNS Settings**.

4. **Locate Custom Records:** Scroll down to the **Custom Records** section.

5. **Add the CNAME record:** Click **Add record**.

**Configure the record details:**
**Type:** Select **CNAME** from the dropdown menu.
**Name (or Host):** Enter "portal"
**Data (or Target):** Enter "[portal.puppetvendors.com](http://portal.puppetvendors.com)"
**Priority:** Leave this at the default setting (CNAME doesn't use priority).
**Save:** Click **Save** in the panel to apply your new CNAME

|| Changes can take up to 24 hours after updating the values on these providers. You and your vendors will then be able access the vendor portal at the desired url in the format of __https://portal.your-website.com__


### Confirming your set-up

1. Visit [DNSChecker.org](https://dnschecker.org/#CNAME/)
2. Enter your portal domain into the input box, select CNAME and then click on the Search. Notie of the values on the right shows portal.puppetvendors.com. If some show and some do not, wait for an hour and check back. This process can take up to 24 hours but typically takes lesser time. Once all the values shows portal.puppetvendors.com.
3. Visit your portal domain and announce it to your vendors so they can start logging in.
