# How to Add Funds to Your PayPal Account for Payouts

This article shows you how you can add funds/top-up your PayPal account. Funds added are used to pay your vendors.

Before making payouts to your vendors, you need to ensure your PayPal account is ready to process payments. This guide will walk you through linking a bank account or credit/debit card to your PayPal account. Once linked, PayPal will automatically deduct funds from the connected source when needed.


1. Log into your paypal account. [https://www.paypal.com/signin](https://www.paypal.com/signin)

2. Once logged in, click on your name in the top right-hand corner and a list of menus will appears as shown in the image below. Click on **Account Settings**.

3. Click on the **Money, banks and cards** menu in the left navigation pane as shown in the image below.

**2.1** If you choose to Link a Bank Account to PayPal
* Click **Link a new bank account** and follow the instructions.
* Once linked, PayPal will make two small deposits to your account for verification. Confirm these amounts to complete the linking process.

**2.2** If you choose to use a debit or credit card
* Instead of manually topping up your balance, you can link a debit or credit card.
* PayPal will draw funds directly from the linked card when making payouts via PuppetVendors.

 
4. Once added, future payouts will draw funds from your connected source.
