# How to apply a coupon code discount to a Vendor Subscription

This article demonstrates how you may apply a coupon code to an existing vendor subscription to provide them with discounts or simply share the discount code with them.

###### How to apply a coupon to a subscription in Stripe

1. [Log into your Stripe Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/)
2. Click on **Customers **on the left navigation section followed by the customer row once it shows.

3. Find **active** subscription (which is in green), click on more options followed by the **Update subscription **action menu.

###### How to generate a subscription coupon code for your customers


1.  Log in to your Stripe Account - *Log in to your Stripe account using your credentials.*

2. Access the **Dashboard **- *Once logged in, you'll be directed to the Dashboard. Here, you can manage all aspects of your Stripe account.*

3. Navigate to **Products **- *In the left-hand sidebar, click on Products to access your product catalog.*

4. Select your **Subscription Product** -* Find the subscription product for which you want to create a coupon code. Click on the subscription product to open its details.*

5. Scroll Down to **Pricing & Coupons Section** - *Scroll down the product details page until you find the Pricing & Coupons section.*

6. Click on **Create Coupon** - *In the Pricing & Coupons section, click on the Create Coupon button.*

7. Fill in Coupon Details - *You'll now be prompted to fill in the details for your new coupon. Please make sure to enable customer-facing coupon codes.*

8. Save Your Coupon - *After filling in the details, click on Create Coupon or Save to save your new coupon code. You can now share this code with your vendors for them to receive a discount on their subscription.*
