# How to process order cancellations

### This article demonstrates how to cancel an order on your Shopify store so it reflects correctly in PuppetVendors.

To cancel an order, go to Shopify and click on the order you want to cancel.

1. Click the **More Actions (1)** button and choose **Cancel Order (2).**

2. The following pop-up window will appear (Image: Refund Now).  You can then choose the option to refund the item now (3) (shows the amount), and select the reason for cancellation (4).

3. Optional steps: you can add staff notes, restock inventory, and send a notification to the customer.
4. Once completed, you can click the **Cancel Order** button (5) to cancel the order.
5. The order will appear in PuppetVendors with the same status.
