# Migrating from Shipturtle to Puppet Vendors

If you are considering migrating from ShipTurtle to Puppet Vendors, you are in the right place. 

This guide will provide you with the necessary steps to make the transition process as smooth as possible.

The guide below walks you through the process of migrating your

1. Vendors
2. User Accounts (these are user emails linked to any vendor, primarily used by vendors to log into the portal and receive order notification emails)
3. Orders
4. Products
5. Payouts


### Step 1: Migrate Existing Vendors

1. Visit the **ShipTurtle** app in your Shopify admin and click on the **Vendors** menu on the left of the screen. (1) Click on the export button. (2)
The file should contain a list of your **vendors** along with all the necessary information for each of your vendors.

2. Select Vendors on the pop-up screen

3. The exported file is sent to your account email. Share this file with the PuppetVendors team either via email (support@puppetvendors.com) or via the live chat widget.

### Step 2: Migrate User Accounts

1. In the same export screen from step 1, select Users List followed by clicking on the Export button to export the list of users.

The file should contain a list of your **vendors** along with their associated **email addresses** which are used for logging into the vendor portal.

2. The exported file is sent to your account email. Share this file with the PuppetVendors team either via email (support@puppetvendors.com) or via the live chat widget.

### Step 4: Send the exported vendors and users list to the puppet vendors team.

### Step 5: Migrate Orders

1. Upon installing PuppetVendors, the app automatically downloads the most recent 250 orders. You may ask the team to import upto 1 year in arrears.

1. Upon installing PuppetVendors, the app automatically downloads all the products listed on your Shopify store.


### Step 7: Migrate Payouts

1. Once all the orders are imported, navigate to the Payouts menu at the top of the screen on PuppetVendors.
2. Select a date range from the date selector from the first date to the date from which you wish to start tracking your payouts via PuppetVendors
3. Check the select all checkbox followed by the Pay button.
4. On the payouts page, select the **Log payouts made outside the app, **choose** Others **and enter a note **Clear payout balance from ShipTurtle migration**
5. Uncheck the **Notify vendors** checkbox and click on the confirm button.
