# Tax Settings

This article shows how taxes are handled in PuppetVendors.

###### How to set taxes in PuppetVendors

1. Go to **Settings**
2. Then **Calculations**
3. Next, click **Taxes**
4. On the right part of the page, the options will appear:

Inclusion or exclusion of taxes in the commissions calculation will depend on these settings.

5. Remember to click the **Save **button to save your preferences.

|| If you have chosen taxes to be included in the calculation, the computation will be as follows:

**Commissions =** (Net Sales - Deductions ) * Commissions
**Net Sales = Gross Sales - Discounts (if applied) - Taxes - Deductions**
