Enable and set-up White Label feature - GoDaddy / Namecheap / Shopify
The article describes how you can set up your custom vendor portal domain once you have enabled (upgrade) to add the White-label add-on.
Visit the Settings navigation at the top of the page
On the left hand navigation, click on White-label followed by Branding and Domain.
Enter your desired custom domain in the format of **your-website.com**. This will be the new domain where your vendors will be able to access their portal and view sales and manage their products.
You are now correctly set-up in Puppet Vendors.
The next step will be to set-up a CNAME with your domain provider. Common domain providers are GoDaddy, Shopify, and Namecheap and below are how-to guides on how to set them up.
Sign in to your GoDaddy admin.
Select an individual domain to access the Domain Settings page.
Select DNS to view your DNS records.
Click on the Add New Record button and then select CNAME from the Type menu
Enter Name: **portal** and Value: **portal.puppetvendors.com** exactly as is and then save it.
Your vendors will now be able to access your whitelabel domain url within 24 hours if the set-up was successful.
Sign into your Namecheap account
Select Domain List from the left side menu and (3) click the Manage button next to your Shopify domain
Navigate to the Advanced DNS tab and (5) click the Add New Record button in the Host Records section
Select CNAME Record from the drop-down menu for Type, enter Host: **portal** and Value: **portal.puppetvendors.com** exactly as is and then save it.
Your vendors will now be able to access your whitelabel domain url within 24 hours if the set-up was successful.
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Domains.
Click the domain that you want to configure.
Make sure to only select a primary domain if you see your domain name (panthercommerce.com) on the list and not if you see "domain.myshopify.com".
Click Domain settings > Edit DNS settings.
Click Add custom record, and then select the record type that you want to add.
Enter Name: portal and Points to: portal.puppetvendors.com exactly as is, and then click Confirm.
Your vendors will now be able to access your whitelabel domain url within 24 hours if the set-up was successful.
Changes can take up to 24 hours after updating the values on these providers. You and your vendors will then be able access the vendor portal at the desired url in the format of https://portal.your-website.com
