PuppetVendors Bridge - Vendor as a Shopify Store (Vendor)
This guide shows you how to install PuppetVendors Bridge and start listing your products in a marketplace or consignment store directly from your own Shopify store. Once connected, the products you choose sync automatically, and your inventory stays accurate on both sides.

1. Install PuppetVendors Bridge
- The marketplace sends you an invitation email containing a link to install PuppetVendors Bridge and your connection key. Click the link, follow the on-screen instructions, and confirm the installation.
- Lost the email? Go to https://bridge.puppetvendors.com and ask the marketplace for your connection key.
2. Initial Set-up
- Enter the connection key from your invitation email
- Select the default inventory location that will act as the source of truth for stock sold both in your store and the marketplace.
3. Publish products to the Marketplace
Only products you publish to the PuppetVendors Bridge sales channel are shared with the marketplace. Nothing syncs until you publish it.
- Go to Products in your Shopify admin
- Select the items you want to sell on the marketplace or consignment store
- Select Bulk Actions and choose Include in Sales Channels
- Select PuppetVendors Bridge and click Include products
Your items should appear on the marketplace within a couple of minutes, provided the product has stock at your default inventory location.
4. Unpublish products from the marketplace
Important: Unpublishing a product removes it from the marketplace immediately. Setting a product to draft or deleting it from your store does the same thing.- Go to Products in your Shopify admin
- Select the items you want to remove form the marketplace or consignment store
- Select Bulk Actions and choose Exclude From Sales Channels
- Select PuppetVendors Bridge and click Enclude products

How quickly do my products sync to the marketplace? | Products and attributes sync in real time from your store to the marketplace's store. Sync speed also depends on the marketplace's PuppetVendors plan. |
What syncs the first time I publish a product to the Bridge channel? | On the first sync, all product attributes from your Shopify store are copied across, including title, description, images, and variants. |
What syncs after that? | Once the product exists on the marketplace's store, their field sync settings take over. For example, the first sync imports the full product record, while later syncs may only update fields such as inventory and images. |
Does the marketplace see my other products? | No. Only products you publish to the PuppetVendors Bridge sales channel are shared. |
Can the marketplace change my price? | The marketplace receives your price on the first sync. They can choose whether to keep price in sync after that, which means they may list your item at a different price to your own store. |
What happens when I unpublish a product from the PuppetVendors Bridge sales channel? | Your listing is deleted from the marketplace immediately. |
How do I disconnect my store? | Uninstall PuppetVendors Bridge from your Shopify admin. All of your synced items are removed from the marketplace automatically. |
