How to add variants to existing products in the vendor portal

Requirements


This requires that the permission for vendors to update existing products is enabled.


You can change this on the merchant portal by going to Settings > Products > Permissions and enable 'Update Existing products' option.


Remember to click the 'Save' button to save your preferences.



How to add variants to existing products in the vendor portal


  1. Log in to the vendor portal
  2. Go to Products and click Edit on the product you choose to add a variant to. You can also use the 'Search' field to look for a product for editing.

Click the 'Variants' option and once the 'Options' pop up, add a name under Option 1 - Name like Size, Color, Style etc. Add the corresponding value on the Option 1 - Values field like Sizes 8, 9 and 10 and for colors - red, blue, white etc.


Once these are added the fields corresponding to the values will appear for filling out. The blank fields for filling out will depend on your form field controls.


After filling out the fields, click the 'Submit' button so the product can be published on your store or submitted for product approval (if you have product approvals on).
