How to refund shipping charges
This article demonstrates how to process a shipping refund on your Shopify store so it reflects correctly in PuppetVendors.
For instances wherein there are some shipping errors - wrong address, shipping method and the likes, you can issue refunds for the shipping charges. Here are the steps to do it:
- Go to Shopify Admin > Orders and choose the order wherein the shipping charges will be refunded. Click the Refund button
- This page will appear. Click the box to Refund Shipping fee
- Add a Reason for refund
- Under the Summary field, you can choose the refund method. We recommend that you set this to the Original payment which will trigger a refund based on whatever payment method that was used by your customer.
In this sample, the customer paid via Cash on Delivery and the amount available for refund will show.
- You have the option to Send notification to the customer once refund is confirmed
- After clicking the Refund button, there will be an alert that the amount was refunded and the order status will change from Paid to Partially refunded.
- The order status will reflect in PuppetVendors.
