How to refund shipping charges

This article demonstrates how to process a shipping refund on your Shopify store so it reflects correctly in PuppetVendors.


For instances wherein there are some shipping errors - wrong address, shipping method and the likes, you can issue refunds for the shipping charges. Here are the steps to do it:


  1. Go to Shopify Admin > Orders and choose the order wherein the shipping charges will be refunded. Click the Refund button

  1. This page will appear. Click the box to Refund Shipping fee

  1. Add a Reason for refund

  1. Under the Summary field, you can choose the refund method. We recommend that you set this to the Original payment which will trigger a refund based on whatever payment method that was used by your customer.

In this sample, the customer paid via Cash on Delivery and the amount available for refund will show.



  1. You have the option to Send notification to the customer once refund is confirmed

  1. After clicking the Refund button, there will be an alert that the amount was refunded and the order status will change from Paid to Partially refunded.

  1. The order status will reflect in PuppetVendors.
