How to track vendor portal usage?

This article guides you on how to add tracking capabilities to understand vendor portal usage.

This feature is only available for customers with the whitelabel add-on.

Installing the tracking script

For tracking purposes, we recommend that you use Microsoft Clarity to track vendor usage which is a similar and free alternative to Google Analytics.

Visit Microsoft Clarity's website by going to https://clarity.microsoft.com/
Sign up for an account if you don't already have one. Otherwise, log into your account.
Once you are in, Click on the New Project button.


Enter the name, website URL, and website industry. For the website URL, you will want to enter app.puppetvendors.com or your whitelabel domain name (e.g.: portal.your-domain.com)
Once your project is created, go to settings.



Under Settings, click on Setup, followed by the Get tracking code button under Install manually.



Copy the tracking code by clicking the Copy to clipboard button.


Then visit your PuppetVendors app, go to Settings -> Whitelabel -> Custom CSS and Javascript, and paste in the copied code and click on save.



This tracking code only tracks the vendor portal usage. Simply visit Clarity to view stats going forward.
