What is the Products feature add-on?

The Products feature add-on allows you and/or your vendors to do the following:

  • Track Inventory
  • Upload/Update products directly into your Shopify Store
  • Merchant Settings - Control what your vendors can do and update
      • Can they create products?
      • Can they update products?
      • The fields they can update

Some default settings for your information are as follows:

  • Inventory Tracking is turned on by default
  • Bulk Actions like approving, uploading, publishing, unpublishing, and deleting can take up to a few seconds for it to reflect on Shopify.
  • When you make changes in the product upload settings (changes like disabling the ability for vendors to create products or unchecking editable fields and saving), your vendors need to log out of the vendor portal and log back in for the changes to take effect.
  • Products are always published as a draft by default. You will have to select the publish channel to see it on your live website. **Note: We are working hard to allow you to directly control this.

How to add the feature

  1. On your merchant portal, go to Pricing and after choosing your base plan, click the box corresponding to Products for $24/month

Add Products to your plan

  1. Next, choose your preferred billing cycle - if monthly or yearly
  2. Lastly, click the 'Next' button that routes you to Shopify for billing. Once billing is approved, the feature is added to your plan.

Product Permissions

  1. After adding the feature, you can configure the feature by going to Settings > Products > Permissions.

Product Permissions

  2. Next, you can configure the permissions according to your preference
