Vendor's Returns and Shipping Policies

PuppetVendors now makes it possible for you to show your vendors' own return and shipping policies.


We recommend verifying that your vendors’ return and shipping policies are consistent with your established policies to avoid any potential conflicts before activating this feature.

What are returns and shipping policies?


A return policy is a document that outlines the rules for returning purchased goods or services. These policies often show refund information, returns requirements, timeframes, and customer support contact details.


Shipping policies, on the other hand, is a document that outlines the rules for shipping goods to the customer or the rules for returning goods. These policies often include details like costs, delivery times and dates, and what to do if the product is damaged upon delivery.


Vendors may have separate return and shipping policies, but you determine whether these are shown on your store. This control is especially important when vendors fulfill orders, as their policies may directly impact your customers.


How to activate returns and shipping policies for your vendors


  1. Go to Settings
  2. Then Users
  3. Next, click Profile

  1. Scroll down to find the box corresponding to Returns
  2. Click the box for Shipping
  3. Click the Save button to save your entries

To confirm this:


  1. Go to Vendors
  2. Then Manage Vendors (Commissions and Profile)
  3. Click on the Settings link corresponding to your vendor of choice.

  1. The vendor settings will appear. Scroll down to Profile

  1. You will find the Returns and Shipping Policy fields enabled

How your vendors can set up their returns and shipping policies in their vendor portal


Once logged in to the vendor portal, vendors can go to the Profile tab and scroll down to the Returns and Shipping Policy fields. Once added, they can then click the Save button to save their policies.

How this appears on your Shopify store


The Returns and Shipping Policy icons will appear on the vendor's banner page. Your customers can click on these to show the vendors' return and shipping policies.
